Easter Vigil starts with the lighting and blessing the new fire and the new Pascal Candle representing Christ. With the candles lit Exsultet is sung. Old Testament readings recalling the history of Salvation are proclaimed, culminating in singing of the Gloria, followed by Epistle and the Good News of the Resurrection. If there are any Baptisms, the water is blessed and Litany of the Saints sung. The Vigil concludes with the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Reception in the Large Hall will follow the service.
